Roles and permissions
BuildQuant uses a Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) system. Each user has a role that determines module access and allowed actions.
Predefined roles

| Administrator | Full access: all modules, configuration, user management |
| Project Manager | Projects, estimates, cost control, contracts, changes |
| Estimator | Projects, UPA, catalog, templates |
| Field Supervisor | Field, schedule |
| Buyer | Procurement, contracts |
| Read-only | View without editing |
Customize permissions
Administrators can adjust role permissions from Administration → Permissions, enabling or disabling specific modules per role.

Permissions apply in real time. A user whose role changes will see the new access on the next page navigation.
