Interface navigation

General layout​

The BuildQuant interface is divided into three zones:

The left panel shows the main navigation. The items you see depend on your permissions:

  • Home — General dashboard
  • Projects — Project list and management
  • Catalog — Materials, labor, and equipment resources
  • Templates — Tax and burden configurations
  • AI Assistants — Artificial intelligence assistants
  • Administration — Only visible to administrators

When inside a project, the sidebar automatically switches to show the active project's modules:

  • Estimates
  • UPA
  • Schedule
  • Procurement
  • Contracts
  • Field
  • Changes
  • Cost Control

Top bar (Topbar)​

Shows:

  • Breadcrumb — indicates where you are
  • Page title
  • Contextual actions — buttons like "New", "Import", "Export"
  • Theme selector (☀ ◑ ☾)

Workspace​

The main content area for each module. May contain tables, forms, charts, or detail panels.

Panels and tables​

  • Click any table row to open the detail or navigate.
  • Column headers with arrows allow sorting.
  • Action buttons appear when hovering over a row or at the panel corner.

Use the search field available in modules like Catalog, UPA, and Projects to filter records in real time.

Pagination​

Lists with many records show pagination at the bottom. You can change the number of records per page.
