The Projects module is the entry point to the entire platform. Here you create and organize your company's construction projects.

Create a project

  1. Click New project in the Topbar.
  2. Fill in the form:

Project overview

Clicking a project opens its Overview, which shows:

  • Project name, code, and status
  • Region pack, currency, and unit system
  • Number of existing estimates
  • Estimates table with amounts and dates

From here you can navigate directly to the project's Estimates.

Estimates

Each project can have multiple estimates (versions). An estimate is the detailed budget with cost line items.

Create an estimate

  1. From the project overview, click Estimates.
  2. Click New estimate.
  3. Enter name and description.
  4. The estimate starts empty — add line items from the Workspace.

Estimate workspace

The workspace is the main view of the estimate. It contains:

  • Line item tree — hierarchical structure of cost concepts
  • UPA panel — link or edit the unit price analysis of each line item
  • Totals — automatic sum of all concepts

Baselines

You can capture a baseline (frozen snapshot) of the estimate to compare against future versions. Baselines are read-only.

To create a baseline:

  1. Open the estimate.
  2. Click Create baseline.
  3. Give it a descriptive name (e.g. "Initial bid").

Import from Excel

Import cost line items from an Excel (.xlsx) file in BuildQuant format:

  1. Click Import in the workspace Topbar.
  2. Select your .xlsx file.
  3. The system processes the file asynchronously and notifies when done.
tip

Download the import template from the same dialog to ensure your file has the correct format.

Export report

Generate an Excel report of the complete estimate:

  1. Click Export in the Topbar.
  2. The system generates the file — you'll see a spinner while it processes.
  3. When done, download the file from the link that appears.
